    Keira Joins ‘Berlin I Love You’

    Exciting news! The Hollywood Reporter just announced Keira has joined Berlin I Love You, alongside Jim Sturgess and Helen Mirren.

    Written by Neil La Bute and David Vernon, Berlin, I Love You segments are being directed by Fernando Eimbcke, Dennis Gansel, Massy Tadjedin, Peter Chelsom, Til Schweiger, Justin Franklin, Dani Levy and Dianna Agron. Josef Rusnak will helm the transition sequence that ties up all the episodes.

    Mirren, Keira Knightley and Jim Sturgess join co-stars Diego Luna, Mickey Rourke, Toni Garrn, Sibel Kekilli, Agron and Rafaelle Cohen, who already boarded the project, which is being shopped to international buyers at Toronto by Highland Film Group and Disrupting Influence’s Glenn Kendrick Ackermann and Jason Piette.

    The Cities of Love series launched in 2006 with Paris Je T’aime, which was followed by New York, I Love You in 2009. Berlin, I Love You will explore coupling in the German capital, where production is set to start by end of September.

    Berlin, I Love You marks a reteaming for Mirren and Knightly, who recently co-starred in Disney’s upcoming live-action pic The Nutcracker and also worked together in Collateral Beauty.

    ‘The Nutcracker and the Four Realms’ Sets Release Date

    The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, which stars Mackenzie Foy as Clara, Keira Knightley as the Sugar Plum Fairy, and Helen Mirren as the power-hungry Mother Ginger, will arrive on theaters on Nov. 2, 2018.

    The first trailer for the film was shown at D23 during the studio’s live-action panel on Saturday. In the footage, viewers got a glimpse at Morgan Freeman’s Drosselmeyer as well as cast members Misty Copeland and Sergei Polunin. Disney production chief Sean Bailey also revealed that Charles “Lil Buck” Riley will play the Mouse King, a CG creation comprised of hundreds of mouse creatures.

    Bailey also elaborated on the four realms that Clara visits during her magical Christmas Eve adventure: The Land of Flowers, attended by Eugenio Derbez’s Hawthorn; The Land of Snowflakes, lorded over by Richard E. Grant’s Shiver; the Land of Sweets, dominated by Knightley’s Sugar Plum Fairy; and the fourth realm, belonging to the villainous Mother Ginger, played by Mirren.

    The first trailer for “Collateral Beauty” is out. A star studded 2016 comedy-drama, the movie is directed by Academy winner, David Frankel, and stars an ensemble cast lead by Will Smith with Kate Winslet, Keira Knightley, Helen Mirren, Edward Norton, Michael Peña, and Naomie Harris.

    When a successful New York advertising executive (Will Smith) experiences a deep personal tragedy and retreats from life entirely, his colleagues devise a drastic plan to force him to confront his grief in a surprising and profoundly human way.

    Keira to star in ‘The Aftermath’ with Alexander Skarsgård

    In feverish bidding, Fox Searchlight has acquired The Aftermath, a Scott Free-produced adaptation of the Rhidian Brook novel that has Keira Knightley and Alexander Skarsgård in talks to star, with James Kent directing. He helmed Testament Of Youth. Ridley Scott is producing.

    The book, an international bestseller, is set in postwar Germany in 1946. Rachael Morgan arrives in the ruins of Hamburg in the bitter winter, to be reunited with her husband Lewis, a British colonel charged with rebuilding the shattered city. But as they set off for their new home, Rachael is stunned to discover that Lewis has made an extraordinary decision: They will be sharing the grand house with its previous owners, a German widower and his troubled daughter. In this charged atmosphere, enmity and grief give way to passion and betrayal.

    Keira Knightley to play Sugar Plum Fairy in Disney’s The Nutcracker

    Keira Knightley will play the Sugar Plum Fairy in Disney’s upcoming adaptation of The Nutcracker.

    She’ll be joined in The Nutcracker and the Four Realms (an adaptation of The Nutcracker and the Mouse King) by Misty Copeland, the first African American woman to be principal dancer in the American Ballet Theater, and Morgan Freeman, according to Variety.

    Interstellar star Mackenzie Foy will also feature, while Chocolat and The Cider House Rules director Lasse Hallstrom has also signed on.
