  • “Star Wars I: The Phantom Menace” Screen Captures

I’ve just added screen captures of Keira from Star Wars I: The Phantom Menace, one of her first film roles. Aside from a few feature scenes, she’s mostly hidden/in the background as one of Padme’s handmaidens, but I’ve still managed to add 160 captures to the gallery.

Keira On For “The Emperor’s Children”

Empire Online reports that Keira has signed on to Noah Baumbach’s film The Emperor’s Children:

Messud’s tome follows three Brown College graduates in their late 20s looking ahead to their lives with no little trepidation. The story takes place a few months before and then a few months after 9/11 in New York.

Knightley would likely play Marina Thwaite, the beautiful daughter of a social activist and journalist who is struggling to finish her first book, titled The Emperor’s Children Have No Clothes (you says the title, you wins the prize), while Bana is most suited for Ludovic, an ambitious Aussie who woos Marina to get himself invited into Manhattan’s high society. No idea yet which role Gere’s down for.

    Empire Scan

Thank you to Carey Mulligan Online and Mariana for a scan from Empire magazine with the first still from Never Let Me Go. See it in the gallery. I am so excited to see Keira work with Carey again and I know I have missed seeing Keira in movies these days!

    “Domino” Screen Captures

DVD screen captures from Keira’s role in Domino have been re-added to the gallery! Not my favorite role of hers but I guess it’s good to see her in all different types of roles! I will cap and add the extras very shortly.

Keira Out of “My Fair Lady”

The Daily Mail has announced today that Keira has pulled out of playing Eliza Doolittle in the big screen adaptation of My Fair Lady. According to the article Keira believed the project was taking too long to get off the ground and is busy with The Misanthrope. Apparently Carey Mulligan has now been approached to audition for the role.

Although strongly linked with the role (she had singing lessons and sang for Mackintosh), Keira was never officially offered the part. She is believed to have felt that the project was taking too long to get off the ground.

    More on “The Talking Cure”

The Guardian has posted a bit more information on The Talking Cure! I did a little bit about Freud and Jung in college so I think this sounds really interesting!

The Talking Cure, based on the Christopher Hampton play of the same name, will star Knightley as Sabina Spielrein, a Russian-Jewish psychiatric patient, who is said to have inspired some of Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud’s most remarkable discoveries. Christoph Waltz and Michael Fassbender – who both featured in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds – are set to co-star, with Waltz as Freud, and Fassbender as Jung.

The unconfirmed Playlist report was triggered by a Facebook update by Australian distributor Hopscotch Films, suggesting that it had picked up rights to the film.

    Keira joins “The Talking Cure”

I have just come across this article which suggests that Keira, along with Christopher Waltz and Michael Fassbender, have signed onto a new movie called “The Talking Cure“.

British lovely Keira Knightley has joined the cast of David Cronenberg’s next film, The Talking Cure, marking the first project for the accliamed director since 2007’s Russian mob feature Eastern Promises. The Talking Cure will center on Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud, the founders of psychoanalysis, and their relationship with patient Sabina Spielrein.

Remember this is just a rumor at the moment.
