Quoting Keira
"All through my life what I've loved doing is watching movies. I love the escapism of film, I love stories. So it is incredible to be able to be in them as much as I am, to see them from the first stitch in a costume to the end product."
I’ve updated the gallery with Blu-ray captures from one of Keira’s most recent roles in The Aftermath-which unfortunately only received a limited US release and some negative reviews from critics. Maybe I’m slightly biased, but I really enjoyed this one. It is not without flaws, but the performances are strong, the story is original and it’s also a beautiful film to watch. With that being said, enjoy these gorgeous captures of Keira!
To coincide with the film’s US release, Keira was in New York earlier today for various press stops to promote The Aftermath. First up, BUILD Series, where she appeared alongside director James Kent. I’ve added some photos to the gallery, so be sure to take a look.
Prior to the London premiere on Monday, Keira attended the press conference for The Aftermath at the Dorchester Hotel. Photos have been uploaded to the gallery. Enjoy!
On Monday night (Feb 18), Keira attended the London (and world) premiere of The Aftermath – joined on the red carpet by co-stars Alexander Skarsgård and Jason Clarke. Dressed in a Chanel dress from the 2004 collection, the look was an unintentional tribute to legendary fashion designer, Karl Lagerfeld who died shortly after the premiere.
We’ve updated the gallery with some new stills from Keira’s upcoming role in The Aftermath, which is released on March 15 (US) and March 1 (UK), respectively. From everything shown so far, the film looks to be another strong entry in Keira’s expanding résumé of period pieces.
A new trailer for the UK release of The Aftermath has been unveiled, and if you haven’t already, please do take a look. There’s plenty of new scenes in the trailer and the way it has been put together is really beautiful. In addition, I’ve also added a new poster for the film to the gallery, which you can view here.
THE AFTERMATH is set in postwar Germany in 1946. Rachael Morgan (Keira Knightley) arrives in the ruins of Hamburg in the bitter winter, to be reunited with her husband Lewis (Jason Clarke), a British colonel charged with rebuilding the shattered city. But as they set off for their new home, Rachael is stunned to discover that Lewis has made an unexpected decision: They will be sharing the grand house with its previous owners, a German widower (Alexander Skarsgård) and his troubled daughter. In this charged atmosphere, enmity and grief give way to passion and betrayal.
The true story of a British whistleblower who leaked information to the press about an illegal NSA spy operation designed to push the UN Security Council into sanctioning the 2003 invasion of Iraq.
In her most recent magazine feature, Keira was featured on the December 2018 issue of Harpers Bazaar UK. In addition to a stunning photoshoot, she discussed family, feminism and finding the freedom to be herself with Sophie Elmhirst.
"I'm all for gratitude for luck that you've had in your life, but at a certain point I have to stop just feeling lucky and making nice and actually ask the questions."
New York City is a stunning backdrop for this story of a successful, gorgeous, and outwardly perfect married couple confronting the turbulence of temptation. Writer/director Massy Tadjedin gently exposes the tangled web of emotions surrounding doubt and jealousy that subtly tug at the seams of a modern relationship in this finely woven tale.
Joanna (Academy Award nominee Keira Knightley) and Michael Reed (Sam Worthington) are seven years into a loyal and healthy marriage, both balancing challenging but rewarding careers, and enjoying what the city has to offer. One night when the Reeds attend a company party, Joanna witnesses an exchange of glances between her husband and a sexy colleague, Laura (the smart and seductive Eva Mendes), whom Michael never mentioned before. Suspicion mounts when Michael heads out on a business trip with the attractive co-worker in tow. As Joanna begins to doubt Michael's intentions, she finds herself facing her own temptation when her ex-lover Alex (the handsome Guillaume Canet) resurfaces.
